LOVESTRUCK Wharfers will now be able to tie the knot right in the centre of the business district.
The East Wintergarden, the glass-covered Bank Street events venue just minutes from the Jubilee line station, has been approved to hold marriages and civil partnerships for couples seeking a break from the traditional church ceremony.
The big day can be staged in either the 600-capacity main hall, the 120-capacity gallery or the 40-seater promenade room.

It can be followed by a reception, wedding breakfast and party.
A spokeswoman for Canary Wharf Group said: "In conjunction with the venue's exclusive catering partners, Seasoned Events, the East Wintergarden offers a range of fully inclusive packages that can be tailor-made to the happy couple's specific requirements.
"All packages include exclusive use of the venue for the special occasion and whether the event is for 50 or for 1,000 people, the East
Wintergarden provides the solution with flair, expertise and imagination."
Bookings can be made with manager Vicky Parr on 020 7418 2775, at vicky.parr@canarywharf.com or at www.eastwintergarden.com.
There are 12 licensed wedding venues in Tower Hamlets catering for blushing brides and grinning grooms.
Couples can trade vows in the Wharf at Smollensky's in Reuters Plaza and the Docklands Sailing Centre in Westferry Road, Isle of Dogs.
The Marriott West India Quay is applying to renew its licence, which was first approved when it opened in 2004.
The five-star hotel offers a variety of rooms for weddings and civil partnerships. A 30-capacity lounge with views of The City and Canary Wharf is also available on the ninth floor, while outside catering can be provided for up to 214.
The Marriott offers the assistance of a certified wedding planner and can offer bespoke packages as well as a striking quayside location for wedding photos.
Lisa Warren, the hotel's social catering manager, said: "We tend to get bookings from people from the local area.
"We find that a lot of couples want to break away from the traditional service and do something different, although we do offer traditional weddings.
"We're very flexible in what we offer and can usually create a wedding that brings out their personalities."
Bookings can be made on 020 7517 2881 or at lisa.warren@marriotthotels.com
