Bradley gears up for his british karting title drive

GREENWICH speed king Richard Bradley is on course for the senior British karting title after an impressive display in Sunderland.
Bradley may only have just turned 16 and completed his GCSEs at Colfe's School, but he is now giving the old pros the run around on the Formula A circuit.
Last week in the north-east he came from behind for two stunning victories against tough competition including three-times British champion Mark Litchfield and current championship leader Danny Cruttenden, as well as the experienced Chris Rogers, a former contemporary of Lewis Hamilton.

After holding off Rogers to win the first race, Bradley started the next in pole position with Rogers second, who soon let the Greenwich youngster know he was there.
"Chris is an excellent but very hard driver," said Bradley. "With him you don't get any favours on the race-track and he proved that at the start. He side-swiped me going into the first corner and knocked me down to seventh. I just had to collect my thoughts and press on."
Bradley courageously fought back and ended up taking the chequered flag for his second win.
"I could now win the championship," he said. "I'm third overall now and if I have another day like this in Dorchester at Clay Pigeon (the final round on September 16) then who knows?"
