Tim takes men's title

LAST week he told The Wharf: "I came second last year and third the year before so this time I'll either come first or fourth."
Well, the reigning world champion Tim Don made it a first place in the race he also told us was "an awesome event".
Thousands of people competed in the Michelob Ultra London Triathlon on Saturday and Sunday (August 4-5) and Don took the men's crown, with Michelle Dillon making it a double for Britain by winning the women's title.

Don overcame a slow swim in the Royal Docks to catch early leader Ben Sanson of France.
He was matched on the cycle stage by fellow Brit Stuart Hayes but Don was too strong, pulling away after 6km of the 10km run to win comfortably.
Dillon was equally impressive in the women's race. She came from 90 seconds down after the swim to storm to the front of the pack during the cycle stage, although still 30 seconds behind Australia's Annabell Luxford.
But Dillon overhauled her in the run and by the 5km mark she was well ahead, maintaining her lead all the way to the finish.
Over 9,100 people finished the weekend's spectacular event, helping London regain the title as the world's biggest triathlon from Chicago, raising over #2million for charity in the process.
And the glorious weather saw thousands more people line the course to cheer on family, friends and clubmates.
