Movie star opportunity

A DOCKLANDS actress is to undergo a gruelling audition process for a leading film role.
Westferry Road resident Jennifer Corren is among six actresses vying for the female lead in Rapture, an apocalyptic thriller from ROK Motion.
She will spend two weeks in a London house with other hopefuls next month as part of an acting masterclass to be broadcast on the internet.

Jennifer was one of hundreds of applicants for the Movie Star project, which invited budding actors to submit audition tapes via the web.
Six finalists of each sex were selected for the masterclass after three screen tests. They will flex their acting muscles in a series of tasks, and receive training from film-makers such as cinematographer Geoff Boyle.
Jennifer has her sights set on the role of Alara, a blind asylum escapee whose special gifts hold the key to solving a murder.
The actress said: "I quite enjoy the intensity, and I'm looking forward to being challenged because that's often when the best work emerges.
"We haven't heard too much about what we'll be doing during the workshops. I understand there will be some footage shown on the website, but I don't want to be known as That Reality Actress.
"It's not a reality show - it's a casting process, just done uniquely."
Heron Quays production company TLMH launched the project in February, but has since been bought by ROK and moved to offices in Soho. The company - now named ROK Motion - hopes to announce the leads this winter and start shooting in December.

Jennifer has appeared in short films and commercials in her native Australia, and played Mr Blonde in an all-female theatre production of Reservoir Dogs. She also featured in World Wrestling Entertainment film The Marine.
She said: "This is a great opportunity for me to be in a feature film. I'd really like to be involved in more independent films in future.
"If you're going through all this just to be famous the acting industry will probably eat you alive.
"Who wants to have no money and be constantly rejected? You've got to really want it for the right reasons."
